FROM MISHAP TO MISSION: THE JOURNEY OF KINDER NATURALS

At Kinder Naturals, we’ve been on an incredible journey—a journey of growth, transformation, and celebrating the beauty of natural hair and skincare. Let’s take a look at what shaped our brand into what it is today  along some of our significant milestones and memorable moments.

Reflecting on the heart of our brand lies a personal journey, one that unfolded from a mishap faced by our founder, Linda. Following an unfortunate trending tutorial paired with a popular gel, Linda was left with two patches in her hair that shattered her confidence. This traumatic setback led her to get to the bottom of the problem and take action. Determined to regrow her hair – focusing on health, she took a break from commercial products and embarked on a quest for genuine, natural remedies that promote healthy hair growth with toxic-free ingredients. This discovery revealed that many products marketed at Black women contained fillers and featured ingredients linked to fibroids and other health issues.

The quest for alternative healthy solutions unearthed the benefits and potential of natural ingredients like African Black Soap, shea butter, aloe vera, herbal extracts, and infused oils. Many of these natural remedies had benefits for hair and skin that Linda wanted to include in her remedies that would later inform the brand’s formulations.

Through trial and error – it was through this challenging phase that the vision for Kinder Naturals emerged—a brand devoted to offering authentic, natural solutions for hair and skincare struggles, rooted in the founder’s deeply personal quest for hair rejuvenation and confidence restoration.   1. Etsy Store Launch – The Beginning

Our handcrafted cosmetics journey began on Etsy, the creative marketplace that allowed us to share our passion for hair and skincare with the world. We started with a vision to offer handmade products that use natural ingredients and are gentle, effective, and kind to both your hair and skin.

2. Unveiling Our Website: A New Chapter

As our brand grew, so did our presence. We proudly launched our website, providing a more expansive platform to connect with our customers, showcase our products, and share our commitment to using the finest natural ingredients.

3. Afro Hair and Beauty Show: Making Our Mark

To launch our brand we took part in our first ever expo, the Afro Hair and Beauty Show in London. It was a pivotal moment for our brand, allowing us to interact with our cherished customers, gain invaluable insights, and share our passion for natural hair care with a larger audience.

4. Natural Hair Academy in France: Embracing International Presence

Venturing beyond borders, we made our mark at the Natural Hair Academy event in France. Despite language barriers, we took the leap, engaged with vendors, retailers, and potential customers, and promoted Kinder Naturals with flyers and enthusiasm. We also had the privilege to meet the amazing Naptural85 an influencer that we admire for her education and teaching around healthy hair practices.

5. HIBS Africa Showcase: A Proud Presentation

Stepping onto a global stage, we proudly showcased Kinder Naturals at HIBS Africa (Ghana), the largest beauty show in Africa. It was an honor to introduce our products inspired by Ghana’s natural beauty to a wider audience, sharing our commitment to quality and authenticity.  The trade show was a three day spectacular event of inspiring speeches, beauty contests, shopping and entertainment.

6. HSBC Birmingham Head Office: Celebrating Black History Month

Back in the UK we had the privilege of joining a marketplace for black owned brands at HSBC Birmingham Head Office as part of Black History Month. It was an amazing opportunity to share our products, celebrate diversity, and embrace the culture and heritage we deeply value.

7. Fashion Meets Music Event: Connecting Through Creativity

Our last event of the year we took part in the Fashion Meets Music pop-up event at Stratford Westfield. It was an enriching experience to say the least. We met amazing brands and were entertained by a live DJ, Black Santa and dancers. We got to showcase our products, engaging with the vibrant community, and spreading the message of natural beauty and care.

8. TikTok Growth: Celebrating Milestones

Another milestone in our journey has been our growth on TikTok. We now have over 8000 followers and a thriving TikTok Shop. Follow us for behind the scenes, live sessions and engaging content. We also share tips, insights, and our love for natural hair and skincare.

9. Glowing Customer Feedback: Our True Success

Above all, the heartwarming feedback from our loyal customers has been our true success. Knowing that our products have made a positive impact on your hair and skin journey has been the most rewarding part of our incredible journey.
